Insulation Matters - Knauf Insulation Sustainability Report 2010!

In December 2010, Knauf Insulation published its very first Group Sustainability Report. And what did we learn? Well, insulation matters – so much so that we put it as the title of our first sustainability report!  To see why, simply download our report, currently available in English, and take a look at what our insulation can do for the built environment, as well as what we’re doing to encourage energy efficiency and what we’re doing for our staff and communities.

Whilst this is our first global report on sustainability it’s certainly not our first actions in the area of sustainable development. Our Report aims to be an honest and balanced representation of us at Knauf Insulation. We know we have just started and have a long way to go. But as a company we have already taken many steps towards reducing environmental impacts, including increasing recycled content in our manufacturing process, reducing energy use and decreasing road transport through increased compression factors. In addition, we take our obligations to our staff and the communities where we operate seriously and have carried out a range of activities such as welfare programmes and supporting local community initiatives.  Our Global Sustainability Report is our first attempt to bring together an overview of the different actions we are taking and therefore to get a better flavour of what we are doing and how we hope to improve over the next few years, simply download the Report.
