Knauf
Insulation to support Great Energy Efficiency Day in Nation’s
Capitol
Knauf Insulation has committed
to sponsoring the 2010 Great Energy Efficiency Day hosted by the
Alliance to Save Energy taking place in Washington D.C. on
March 10. The annual event, launched in 2004, draws more than 400
stakeholders from the business, industry, government, academic,
media and public interest sectors to Capitol Hill. The event
has become an important forum to discuss the need for, and the
benefits of, energy efficiency.
The day will feature recognized
speakers from the United States Senate and House of
Representatives, the U.S. Department of Energy, the American Public
Transportation Association, the North American Insulation
Manufacturer’s Association, and other key energy voices from a
diverse group of states and industries. Designed to garner in-depth
discussion on the funding, technologies and policy that will be
required in order for the U.S. to realize energy efficiency’s full
potential—and to provide insight from Capitol Hill—this year’s
discussions will center on federal, state and local stimulus
funding, smart communities, and building energy-efficient
technology for today and tomorrow.
